THE SCIENCE
A Revolutionary Solution for Diverse Contaminants
Built to Combat Bioterrorism and Save Lives
The original formula on which D7 was based was created through funding granted by the Department of Energy in Sandia Laboratories in New Mexico. Utilizing cutting-edge developments in chemical science, D7 capitalizes on the natural cleaning power of hydrogen peroxide, penetrating and disarming toxins at a molecular level. This specialized formula penetrates and eliminates pathogenic bacteria, sanitizing down to the molecular level to prevent future outbreaks..
How It Works
Hydrogen-Peroxide-Based Sanitization Power
Although the exact chemical makeup of D7 is complex, at its core, the ingredients could be broken down as follows:
INGREDIENTS
HYDROGEN PEROXIDE
SURFACTANTS (SOAP)
INORGANIC SALTS (BAKING SODA)
HYDROGEN PEROXIDE BOOSTER
WATER
D7 chemically cleaves the spore wall, then neutralizes the mycotoxin inside. For toxic chemicals, the surfactant ingredients (i.e. soap) help dissolve the chemical into the D7 formulation, where it is attacked and neutralized by the hydrogen peroxide. For biological materials (e.g. bacteria, viruses, and fungi), the surfactants soften the cell walls of the microorganisms, which allows the hydrogen peroxide to penetrate to the interior for complete kill. It also changes the osmotic pressure around the cell, which causes an imbalance in the internal cellular pressure, resulting in the total collapse of the cellular membrane.
D7’s Key Benefits and Characteristics
†Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Effectiveness of D7
Log reduction is a term used to explain the effectiveness of a disinfectant in killing microorganisms.
A product with a Log-1 rating makes the number of microorganisms on a surface 10 times smaller. This means it reduces the number by 90%
(leaving 10% of the microorganisms on the surface).
Household bleach has a Log-3 rating. This means it makes the number of microorganisms on a surface 1,000 (10 x10 x10) times smaller, reducing the number of microorganisms by 99.9%.
The highest log-reduction rating is 7, the rating of D7. This means it makes the number of microorganisms on a surface 10,000,000 (10 x10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x10) times smaller. D7 reduces the number of microorganisms on a surface by 99.99999%.
The chart opposite illustrates the impact various log reductions have on a surface that harbors 1,000,000 microbes.
Some of the microorganisms D7 Eliminates:

Testimonials
From the moment we contacted D7 Caribbean, they were polite responsive and informative. We now have a treatment protocol in place for our 6 luxury villas which is undertaken once our guests check out.
We chose D7 Caribbean after looking at several products, after understanding the science of the D7 formula, the team followed by a demo of the product, It was immediately clear that D7 is a superior product and cost-effective.
As CEO of 3 major resort properties in Turks and Caicos, we needed the best product on the market, a responsive professional team we can rely on and logistics that are seamless from the ordering process to the treatment protocols.
